This is the bottle you want on your table if the night is calling for burgers, flank steak, tri-tip, Mexican, Southwest—in other words, food that is hearty, spicy and satisfying. The 2007 blend included old vine Zin, Resonance Pinot Noir, Baby Poux Cabernet and more. Peter Rosback isn’t saying what’s in this 2008, but you won’t care once you slug down the first glass. A fine bottle right in line with past vintages. It’s a bright, brambly potpourri of tart red fruits with plenty of acid to lift it up. Raspberry and cherry candy powers the front end, while clean tannins finish up the back.
