This 2020 Mappinga Chardonnay is delicious. There is a cascade in the mouth of salted nuts, brine, orchard fruits and flat leaf parsley through the finish. It's fresh and lively, with a baritone of fruit power through the middle palate. It doesn't have the carry over the finish to elevate it to a higher score, but it is delicious and satisfying.

The 2019 Mappinga Chardonnay offers up scents of struck match, scorched bread, toasted hazelnuts and grilled pineapple. Medium-bodied on the palate, it's crisp and bright, delivering plenty of concentrated and refreshing flavor and a long, strident finish. This bottling is a barrel selection of the finest lots in the cellar, all barrel fermented and aged in French oak (30% new), a mix of hogsheads and puncheons.
