The 2014 Grauburgunder Oberrotweiler Eichberg GG has a ripe, intense and smoky bouquet that leads to a full-bodied, elegant, creamy textured and lemon-fresh palate. The wine is dense, complex and well-structured, but needs a couple of years to unfold its talents. It is a powerful and densely-woven wine with a persistent minerality and tension. Promising.

From 37-year-old vines on tuff soils, Salwey's intensely yellow-colored 2013 Grauburgunder Oberrotweiler Eichberg GG offers a clear and fresh, deep, intense and spicy flavored Pinot bouquet; this leads to a full-bodied, very elegant, pure and well balanced palate, which reveals a stimulating freshness and salinity in the long, tension-filled finish. There is lots of lemon-freshness in this complex but still very young Pinot Gris from the excellent Eichberg terroir.
