Good, rich Zinfandel that brings a Napa elegance and sophistication to the variety’s wild and woolly personality. The briary, brambly thing is all here, with wild berry, cocoa, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper flavors, and the exuberance is distinctively Zinny, but the wine has the body and balance of a fine Merlot.——S.H.(11/1/2007)—— 90

Good, rich and ripe, a feisty little Zin with all kinds of tasty flavors. Blackberries, blueberries, pecan pie, sweet dried herbs, orange zest, vanilla and smoke, to name a few. Completely dry, with soft, easy tannins and a firm mouthfeel. Really fine, although it turns just a bit thin on the finish, but that’s nitpicking.——S.H.(3/1/2004)—— 87
