The 1999 Zinfandel Falleri Vineyard (15.2% alcohol) is available only in magnums. There were less than 50 cases produced. From a vineyard near Calistoga, it is a dense ruby/purple-colored offering revealing a bouquet reminiscent of a top-class Chateauneuf du Pape. Pepper, black cherry jam, and earth aromas are followed by a full-bodied, velvety-textured, ripe, heady Zinfandel with a boatload of fruit, glycerin, and character.
