The 2009 Chardonnay comes from 100% Mendoza clone and went though 100% malo-lactic, spending 12 months in oak, 25% new. It has a moderate intensity of peach and apple tart aromas with some creamy / leesy notes and a bit of a wild edge. Medium bodied and with a good backbone of high acid, this is an elegant style with a long savory finish. Drink it now to 2014. Although Riverby Estate produces a good Marlborough Sauvignon, the pursuit of high quality Riesling is the focus here.No known USA importer.

The 2007 Chardonnay has a well-defined aromatic nose with orange-blossom, tinned apricots, coconut and a touch of vanilla that expands in the glass. The palate is well defined with very good natural balance: a pretty Chardonnay with floral notes, lovely crisp apricot, passion fruit and white peach towards the finish.
