We're seeing a trickle more Sauvignon Blanc from the Langhe, Piedmont, in recent years. Renato Ratti submits this very fragrant and varietally pure expression. The 2018 Piemonte Sauvignon I Cedri reveals tropical tones, passion fruit, tomato leaf and a vegetal note that recalls freshly shucked snow peas. There's also an evident aroma of white stone or crushed rock that nails the wine to a sense of place. This wine is not imported to the United States market.
