The 2015 Vosne Romanee is a blend of two parcels to the south of the village. It has a generous bouquet with ample black cherries and blueberry fruit, very pure and quite floral in style. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy blackberry and raspberry on the entry. I find more mineralité here than the Nuits Saint-Georges Villages, with commendable structure on the finish.

The 2014 Vosne Romanée Villages was just a little disjointed on the nose when I tasted it, with dusky/earthy aromas more expressive than the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with tart cherry fruit on the entry. The tannins feel quite supple with a crisp and poised finish, and a saline aftertaste. It is a decent Vosne-Romanée albeit one that is missing some substance.

The 2012 Vosne-Romanee Village also comes from two parcels on the southern side of the appellation. It has a tightly wound bouquet that is not playing game at the moment. The palate is crisp and supple on the entry with a dash of white pepper sprinkled over the vibrant red fruit, before it segues into a structured, more Nuits Saint Georges inspired finish. Very fine.

A pungent nose combines notes of oak toast, menthol, sandalwood, spice elements as well as both blue and black pinot fruit. There is excellent richness to the wonderfully seductive medium weight flavors that coat the palate with dry extract before culminating in a dusty and well-balanced finish. This is very Vosne in basic character and while it's finer than the Nuits there isn't quite the same level of depth.
