From old vines purchased when the Chateau du Chorey was sold, the 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Teurons exhibits aromas of red berries, raspberries and spices, complemented by hints of loamy soil and raw cocoa. Medium-bodied, supple and succulent, it's a fine-boned, delicate wine that's lively and inviting.

Apparently this was the first year that this vineyard had not been frosted over since Remoissenet purchased the parcel in 2012. The 2015 Beaune 1Er Cru Tuerons has a lifted blackcurrant and blueberry—lovely purity. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red cherry and a slight bitterness on the finish.

The 2014 Beaune 1er Cru Teurons was showing a little more oak on the nose compared to the Grève, however that goes hand-in-hand with more fruit intensity. The palate is nicely structured with pointed acidity, tart cherry fruit and blueberry, quite precise but just dipping a little early before the finish line on an abrupt finish. It will hopefully gain a little more persistence by the time it is in bottle.
