My favorite wine of this group (although it is overpriced for what it delivers) is the 2007 Syrah The Fight. It offers more juicy black currant and black cherry fruit, crunchy, crisp acids, and a deep, medium-bodied mouthfeel. While some tart acidity is noticeable, there is enough flesh for balance. Drink this 2007 over the next 4-5 years. Given their past track record, this is a disappointing group of wines.This is the least impressive group of wines I have tasted from this winery, which I have followed for many years and enjoyed.Tel. The 2005 Syrah The Fight Round 3 Continues reveals more licorice, underbrush, and pepper notes along with copious quantities of blackberries and cassis. Although it is not as long or powerful as the Twenty-Two, it is more elegant, with additional finesse as well as balance. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. www.redcarwine.com
