The 2007 Columns Greenock Grenache (60 cases) was aged in seasoned French oak. Medium ruby in color, it reveals a hint of toasty oak, mineral, leather, and cherry. Forward with a slightly tart, elegant personality, it will go down easy over the next five years. Chateau Chateau is a label created by importer Dan Philips and marketed under the R Wines umbrella. Its stated purpose is to demonstrate the effects of soil and place on Grenache (and blends) from the best terroirs in Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. The Barossa Reserve wines are limited production cuvees, most of them under 150 cases. Each has its own distinctive label representing its place of origin.Importer: Dan Philips, The Grateful Palate, Oxnard, CA; tel. (805) 278-9095
