The 2011 Arinto is a bottling I rather like a lot these days. This is a really zesty version, invigorating and crisp, with bursts of acidity up front. Granting that I do not have them side by side right at the moment, I find this a bit different than the 2010, not quite as rich, but sunnier. Add some lemon-lime notes to the end and you get a great example of a clean and pure warm weather wine that should be better integrated but beautifully refreshing this summer. It has enough weight and viscosity to admire for other reasons than sheer exuberance, plus some seriously good fruit. It is quite tasty. I always like to drink these young – if it holds (and more importantly, holds at peak), that is a bonus. Drink now-2015. Importer: SolStars Inc., New York NY; tel. (212) 605-0430
