The nose on this 2020 Terra Rossa Merlot is minty, herbal and a little bit green. The palate reflects the aromas and has the added benefit of very fine tannins. All in all, a little febrile for greatness, but on the flip side: crunchy, leafy and softly spicy. All a matter of taste.

The 2016 Terra Rossa Merlot is ruggedly tannic for a Merlot, with a decidedly chewy texture and drying finish. Roasted cherry tomato notes appear on the nose, rounded out by some cherry fruit on the medium to full-bodied palate.

Medium garnet/purple, the 2012 Merlot Terra Rossa has a plummy nose that is a little vague plus hints of mulberries and spices. Soft, earthy and fresh, the medium to full-bodied palate finishes long and uncomplicated.

Deep garnet in color the 2010 Terra Rossa Merlot presents a lovely warm plum and mulberry nose featuring highlights of baking spices and dried Provencal herbs. The medium to full-bodied palate is rich, seductive and offers a medium-firm level of velvety tannins, a bright acid line and a long finish. Drink now to 2018+. No known USA importer.

The 2006 Terra Rossa Merlot has a medium-deep garnet color and pronounced notes of warm plums, mulberries, spice cake, mint and a whiff of Ceylon tea. Medium to full-bodied and crisp with medium-firm chewy tannins, it's just a little ungenerous in the mid-palate though has a nice long minty finish. Drink it now through 2015.
