The 2011 Indigena Tinto is pure Garnacha aged in a mixture of new and used French oak barrels for five months. It has a very ripe nose of prunes, dates and raisins and a ripe, powerful palate with some dusty tannins, pungent flavors and a faint violet finish. Drink now-2016. The 2010 Indigena Res is a pure, 10-year-old Garnacha grown on loam and gypsum soil, aged for 5 months in French oak and second fill barrels. It has a refined bouquet of fresh dark berry, bay leaf and spice notes that are well-defined. The palate has a fresh, almost sorbet-like entry with sweet tannins and hints of vanilla pod inflecting the tart cherry fruits towards a very pretty, feminine finish. Drink now-2016. The 2008 Indigena is 100% Garnacha that spent 5 months in a mix of new and seasoned French oak. Dark ruby-colored with fragrant spice box, cedar and cherry aromas, on the palate it has good grip, plenty of savory fruit, an easy-going personality, and a fruit-filled finish.
