The 2018 Langhe Riesling offers young varietal aromas of lemon blossom, beeswax and green papaya. There is just a hint of those characteristic hydrocarbon aromas of fuel or petrol that will undoubtedly emerge with greater intensity as the wine continues its bottle aging. For now, what you get is a young Riesling at the height of its bright primary aromas. Drying mineral notes appear on the close.

This wine is delightfully fresh and buoyant. The 2015 Langhe Riesling shows varietal purity with aromas of petroleum, nectarine, crisp apple and pineapple that you get before any territory aromas set in. It will be interesting to watch this wine's evolution over the next three to five years. At this young stage in its life, it offers a brilliant sense of vitality with moderately enriched glycerin that wraps smoothly over the palate.

Like Saracco's newly-released Chardonnay, the 2014 Langhe Riesling may be slightly reduced at this stage. The bouquet doesn't deliver the intensity you should expect of this distinctive grape variety. Petrol, candied apricot and passion fruit emerge from the glass in various degrees of importance.
