Composed of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 2% Malbec, the 2017 Cascadia is an instant success. It opens with a generous and robust dark-fruited nose with blackberry reduction, black raspberry essence and spiced cherry pie filling. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is rich and firm, with resinous purple flowers, brown baking spices and bitter dark chocolate flavors on the palate. The long, winding finish evolves with persistence in the mouth, continuing to deliver pleasure for more than a minute. Only 3,288 bottles were produced.
