This Sierra Foothills grower has made an earthy, dusty, heavy and dark blend of 62% Zinfandel, 31% Sangiovese and 7% Syrah. Though it could stand a bit more time in the bottle to tame its prancing tannins, the wine is otherwise delightfully full of blackberry and cranberry flavors and aromas, the grapes all estate grown. ——V.B.(12/1/2011)—— 88
