The dazzling 1999 Rosso Val di Cornia combines power, luxurious fruit, and elegance. Its dense saturated ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet nose of ripe black fruits, licorice, smoke, and graphite. Opulent, rich, and full-bodied, with layers of fruit, no hard edges, amazing delineation, and admirable concentration, this pure, symmetrical effort should drink well for 8-10 years.
This 1999 was produced from incredibly low yields, aged in barrique, and bottled without filtration.
