The 2021 Chardonnay was handpicked, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in oak, and 20% of the blend underwent malolactic fermentation. This is creamy, salty and concentrated and a pleasure to drink. The wine is poised and long rather than powerful and broad; it streams across the palate and through into a spooling, lingering finish.

Michael Hall’s 2008 Chardonnay comes from the Piccadilly sub-region of the Adelaide Hills. It offers pronounced scents of grapefruit, pineapple, guava, passion fruit, oatmeal, nuts, sulphides and butterscotch. Medium-bodied with great flavor concentration, high acid and a silky texture, it finishes long and creamy. Drinking now, it should remain delicious to 2015. No known USA importer.
