The estate’s 2003 Martinelli Sagrantino di Montefalco Sor Anna is a brooding, powerful Sagrantino. It offers outstanding length as well as superb balance. Dark cherries, spices, earthiness, leather and toasted oak emerge from this satisfying Sagrantino. It gives the impression of being fairly accessible now, perhaps owing to more generosity in the fruit as compared to the normal bottling. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2018.
