Licorice, plum and cola notes dominate the nose of the 2016 Cotes du Rhone. Impressively ripe and beefy, it offers a bold mouthful of flavor for very little money. No, it's not terribly complex, nor would I suggest aging it (it's sealed with an artificial stopper), but it'll be fine on the deck with whatever grilled meat you want to throw at it.
