The 2016 Vernaccia di San Gimignano Privato offers interesting shadings of brimstone and crushed mineral that peel back to reveal white peach and honeydew melon. This bouquet is more open and accessible than many of its peers and this oak-aged wine appears to have been in greater contact with oxygen during winemaking. The mouthfeel is more robust, fuller and textured. Only 2,000 bottles were produced.
