This wine is mostly Sangiovese with a small contribution of Merlot. The La Castellina 2017 Chianti Classico Tommaso Bojola is a simple wine with some sweet cherry fruit on the one hand and savory notes of grilled rosemary and tilled earth on the other. This is an easy wine of medium latitude and depth to pair with a plate of grilled sirloin, mushrooms and onions.

In the past, this wine was listed as a Riserva but it seems to have lost that specification in this vintage. The 2013 Chianti Classico Tommaso Bojola is mostly Sangiovese with a touch of Merlot for additional softness and texture. The wine is fragrant and bright with dark cherry and plum followed by sour cranberry, scorched earth and a touch of black olive. It ages in French barrique for 18 months.
