An equal-parts blend of Clairette Rose, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is very pale straw colored in the glass. Offering up hints of fresh pear and citrus, it's medium to full-bodied, crisp, zesty and fresh but not ungenerous, with a nice plump feel on the palate and a bright, clean finish. Drink it young.

About as linear as white Chateauneuf gets, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is equal parts Clairette Rose, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, all made in stainless steel. This medium to full-bodied wine is crisp and focused, with lime zest notes and a personality not dissimilar to Sauvignon Blanc. Drink it young.

Made entirely in stainless steel, the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a blend of one-third each Clairette Rose, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne. It's a bit leaner and more citrusy than many of its peers but still tasty, with lime and orange flavors that fade quickly on the finish.

I loved winemaker Eric Bonnet’s 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc and this classic white from the south of France gives up lots of citrus blossom, hints of stone fruits, lots of minerality and a kiss of honey on both the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, supple and rounded on the palate (which is common in the vintage), it has a charming, forward, straight-up delicious style geared for drinking over the coming 2-3 years. The blend in 2015 is equal parts Clairette Rose, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne that was brought up all in stainless steel. .

A medium-bodied, elegant and pretty white, the 2014 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc from La Bastide Saint Dominique offers up classic notes of apple, poached pears and hints of flower oil on the nose. Made from equal parts Grenache, Clairette and Roussanne, it’s already drinking nicely and should deliver plenty of pleasure over the coming 3-4 years.
