A profusion of licorice, aniseed and fennel bursts from the glass of this 2018 Shiraz The Devil's Whiskers. In the mouth, the wine is concentrated, thick and dense, with a heavy cloak of resiny oak over the mid-palate and through the finish. A weighty wine.

From a single vineyard and matured 18 months in new French oak, the 2017 Shiraz The Devil's Whiskers is nonetheless not overly oaky, yielding dark blueberry and blackberry fruit on the nose alongside hints of black olives, espresso and vanilla. It's medium to full-bodied, creamy and supple on the palate, ending silky and long. It's a big step up from the regular Shiraz.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Shiraz The Devil's Whiskers is intensely scented of baked blackcurrants, prunes and cloves with hints of dark chocolate, dried Mediterranean herbs and tree bark. Full-bodied, richly fruited and densely packed with dried berries and baking spice flavors, it has chewy tannins and great persistence
