The 2020 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard has a delicate perfume of green pears, honeysuckle, sliced almonds, flint and toasted meringue. The medium-bodied palate has a satiny texture and tangy, citrusy focus at this youthful stage, finishing long and textural. It may flesh out with another year or two in bottle.

The 2019 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard offers pure scents of saline, toasted almonds, graphite, dried flowers and white peach with touches of beeswax. The medium-bodied palate is silky and fresh with graphite and toast-laced flavors, and it finishes very long. This is still youthfully coiled and will improve with another couple of years in bottle.

The 2018 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard comes from Mt Eden clone vines planted in 1994. The nose begins with touches of toast and candle smoke over fresh orchard fruits. In the mouth, it’s medium-bodied and mineral driven, offering hints at more savory layers to come. It's fresh and silky with loads of youthful energy and a long, uplifted finish. Give this at least two to three more years in bottle.

The 2017 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard is scented of pure quince peel, green pear and apple fruit with a streak of wet stone and hints of toast and dried flowers. The mineral-driven, medium-bodied palate is pure and lively with savory tones on the long finish. A very elegant expression this year.

Produced from the Eden Clone, the 2016 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard reveals super intense tropical fruit notes of under-ripe pineapple and pink guava with hints of baking spices, acacia honey, beeswax, almond paste and a waft of peach blossoms. Medium to full-bodied and seductively spicy spicy in the mouth, it is both bold and exotic with fantastic vivacity and very long and layered finish.
