The 2005 Chardonnay Rachel’s Vineyard boasts a liqueur of crushed rocks intermixed with flowers, white currants, peaches, and lemons. Superb acidity and richness as well as a magnificent finish characterize a wine that could easily be confused with a Coche-Dury Meursault Perrieres ... it’s that phenomenal. Consume it over the next decade. Kudos to Tom Rochioli, one of the wine world’s great guys who, without any fanfare, continues to turn out world-class wines of extraordinary aromatic and flavor dimensions.
