The 2012 El Vern is a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Monastrell from dry farmed vineyards at 600 meters altitude on a diversity of soils, from clay to chalk and stones. It was fermented in stainless steel and aged in barrique for eight months. It's a fruit-driven, juicy red, with well-integrated oak in the form of spicy aromas. The palate is fresh, medium-bodied with fine tannins, approachable. 30,000 bottles produced.
