Made with the addition of 4% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1.5% Malbec and 1.5% Petit Verdot, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon has a soft, open-knit nose with dark red and black fruit essences and a dusty, floral expression. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is balanced, offering notions of leather, pencil shavings and dusty red flowers with a tannic edge and ending with lingering flavors of dried plum and roasted coconut. Just over 17,000 bottles were filled after the wine rested for a year and a half in a mix of French and American oak, 51% new.
