The 2009 WHITE is Savatiano, with 10% Roditis blended in. Smokey and brooding, this tank fermented white is funky aromatically and that is hard to get past. It is rather persistent on opening, but fades fairly fast. Its structure, for this modest price range, is pretty good, but the aromatics and smokey aftertaste are difficult. After being open an hour, they moderated a little, but were still too obvious. Perhaps it will moderate more with a little more time. Drink now.
