The 2007 Cotes de Paso red, a blend of 46% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre, and the rest Syrah, Counoise, and Cinsault, is a straightforward, earthy, medium ruby-colored wine offering notes of sweet and sour cherries, sandalwood, and herbs. It starts off well, but finishes rather abruptly. Drink it over the next year. Tel. (805) 226-9455; Fax (805) 226-9668
