Not overly rich or concentrated, this is a light- to medium-bodied Pinot with a hard, woody shell. Cedar hits the senses first, followed only slowly by modest cherry fruit and more and more wood spice. Still, it shows some class and a reasonably long finish. Try in another year or two, when the oak may be more integrated, but before the fruit falls away. ——J.C.(11/1/2006)—— 86
