Corino produces some of the most saturated colored Piedmontese wines I have seen. His 1990 Barbera Vigna Pozzo reveals a purple/black color, a huge nose of wild black fruits and spices, a rich, medium to full-bodied, succulent texture, and an explosively rich finish. If it had more complexity, it would have merited an outstanding score. Nevertheless, it is a super-rich Barbera. Importer: a Marc de Grazia Selection, Michael Skurnick Wines, Westbury, NY.
