The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Winston Hill is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps with vibrant redcurrant jelly, blackcurrant pastilles and stewed plums notes, plus hints of bouquet garni, underbrush and violets, with a waft of truffles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly wound with red and black berry layers, framed by firm tannins and beautiful freshness, finishing long and mineral laced.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Winston Hill is composed of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs a little swirling to unlock latent scents of crushed blackcurrants, wild blueberries and black raspberries, plus hints of rose oil, cinnamon stick and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has electric energy, featuring bright, crunchy fruit and a lively backbone with firm, fine-grained tannins to support, finishing long and fragrant. Give it at least 2-3 years in bottle before broaching, and then drink it over the next 20 years+.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Winston Hill is made up of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it features scents of stewed plums, baked berries, warm cassis, earth, tar and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, it is a little thin in the mid-palate with a chewy texture and nice freshness to the finish. Well managed.

Composed of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Merlot, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Winston Hill is very deep garnet-purple in color and gives up pronounced cassis, black cherries and warm blueberries with touches of licorice, tar, cigar box and truffles. The palate is medium to full-bodied, finely crafted and mineral laced in the mouth with loads of freshness and a very long, layered finish.

The 2015 Winston Hill Proprietary Red is deep purple-black in color with a nose of blackberry, blackcurrants, tar and earth with touches of garrigue, olives and herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firm and taut yet very chewy and a bit hard, finishing uncomplicated and clipped.
