A 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah, the 2020 Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu boasts impressive concentration. Black cherry, cassis and hints of asphalt appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is soft, velvety and ripe without being baked or jammy. Drink it over the next several years.

The 2019 Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu is everything a good example from the region should be. It's fruity and direct without being simple, showing notes of red raspberries, sun-warmed stones and just hints of garrigue and dark chocolate. It's full-bodied and rich without being jammy. It even shows decent length and silky tannins on the finish. Nicely done!

Ferraton's delicious 2016 Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu has it all. A 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah, it delivers bright raspberry fruit, a bit of peppery-herbal complexity and ripe tannins. It's medium to full-bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel and plush finish. It should be a terrific value.

The 2014 C?tes du Rh?ne Villages Plan de Dieu is another elegant, savory effort that has tons of Proven?al character. Garrigue, spice, dried cherries and earth all emerge from this medium-bodied effort that’s ideal for drinking over the coming 4-6 years.
