The 1999 Seven Springs Vineyard Unfiltered Pinot Noir is medium to dark ruby-colored and has an immensely appealing violet as well as red/black cherry-scented nose. It is, at present, tight yet reveals excellent levels of fruit in its medium-bodied character. This wine has excellent depth, a gorgeously detailed personality, and the potential to ultimately merit an outstanding score. Drink it between 2004 and 2009. Tel. (503) 371-8478

The 1994 Pinot Noir Seven Springs Vineyard is another terrific example of Russ Raney's winemaking. It is a juicy, succulent, full-bodied, well-made wine crammed with intense black-cherry and black-raspberry fruit, subtle oak, a chewy mid-palate, and fine length.
