The Pierazzuoli Tenuta Cantagallo 2019 Chianti Montalbano Riserva Il Fondatore is fleshed out and immediate in character with thick layers of dark fruit, black cherry, plum, light spice and cured tobacco. Like the other wines in this portfolio (and specifically from this vintage), Il Fondatore highlights the contours of this naturally acidic grape variety from a particularly sunny spot in western Tuscany.

The Enrico Pierazzuoli Tenuta Cantagallo 2017 Chianti Montalbano Riserva Il Fondatore is a smooth and silky expression of Sangiovese that wraps tightly over the palate, offering dried berry and red currant aromas. There are hints of spice, tar and smoke, and you also get dried flowers and potting soil. This is a classic and true expression of Sangiovese from a hot vintage.
