Blended of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 14% Shiraz, the 2010 Fontaine Rose has a pale salmon-pink color and delicate to moderately intense aromas of red currants, raspberries and fresh cream plus hints of dried herbs and yeast. Medium bodied, it gives moderately concentrated berry flavors matched with a pleasant creaminess in both character and texture. It finishes long. Drink it now through 2012. Medium to full-bodied, there’s a good amount of berry flavors lifted by medium acidity and finishing medium to long.
