The 2016 Pommard Petits Noizons offers perfumed red cherries, kirsch and subtle balsamic notes on the nose, nicely defined and quite mercurial in the glass. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry, a gentle grip in the mouth with darker berry fruit toward the structured but balanced finish. Give this a year in bottle.

The 2015 Pommard Petits Noizons has plenty of dark berry fruit on the nose, quite floral and quasi-Volnaysian in style, though returning to re-taste in bottle, it had developed more tertiary characteristics. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe redcurrant and red plum fruit. This is fresh and with plenty of rondeur, fleshy and "punchy" on the finish. Très Pommard, très bon.

The 2014 Pommard Petits Noizons had to shake off a little reduction when first poured, though underneath lies attractive brambly red berry fruit intermingling with dried rose petal aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp, structured entry that translates Pommard with great clarity. There is energy in this Pommard with very fine salinité towards the finish - it comes recommended.
