The 2012 Ladoix 1er Cru La Corvee is deeply pigmented. The nose displays nicely integrated oak with black currant and red currant aromas. The palate is firm in the mouth with chewy, red berry fruit, while the finish feels rather blunt. Drink now-2016.
To be honest, I found this producer’s wines to be lacking the same quality level as its peers, perhaps partly because of the challenges faced during the growing season.
No known US importer but available through Cave for Cases in the UK.
