The 2019 Pommard Les Noizons is performing very well, exhibiting aromas of orange rind, plums, cherries, spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with velvety tannins and a gourmand core of fruit, it's a richer, ampler expression of Pommard than the racier, more ethereal Les Vignots.

The 2017 Pommard Les Noizons exhibits notes of cherries, orange rind and spices, carrying a more prominent framing of oak than Les Vignots—Rossignol commenting that he selected fine-grained, less toasted barrels to compensate for the higher percentage of new barrels. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, plush and fleshy, with chewy structuring tannins that assert themselves on the finish.

The 2016 Pommard Les Noizons is a blend of different parcels from Les Noizons and Petits Noizon, vines from 20 to 85 years old. This includes around 30% whole cluster, and that lends freshness and a light woodland note to the dark berry fruit. I admire the precision considering that this is a village cru. The palate is well balanced with plenty of matière, just the right amount of salinity with a gentle grip toward the finish. This has very good potential.
