All of Romero's wines are black/purple-colored, with fabulously ripe black fruit (cherries, raspberries, and a touch of licorice), firm underlying acidity, and thick, rich, concentrated flavors. The 1995 Cotes du Rhone (60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and 10% miscellaneous reds) sees no new oak. It is made from the estate's youngest vines (5-20 years old). This 1995 offering is amazing for such humble appellations. Don't miss it! This wine was tasted between June 1 and June 16, 1996.Importer: European Cellars, New York, NY
