The 2015 Saint Joseph André Péleat comes all from the St Joseph lieu-dit located just outside of the village of Mauves. This wine offers lots of black raspberry and dark fruits, new saddle leather and garrigue in a full-bodied, rich, yet rounded and sweetly fruited style.

The impressive 2014 Saint Joseph André Péleat has more fruit and texture than most in the vintage. Black raspberry, cassis, toasted spice and hints of barrique all emerge from this medium-bodied, rounded, beautifully textured 2014 that has plenty of sweet fruit, ripe tannin and a great finish. I like it now, but it will drink nicely for 6-7 years.

Gilles Robin is a young, talented producer who has turned out a Burgundian style St.-Joseph with fragrant aromatics of red and black fruits intermixed with some tapenade, crushed rock, and spice. Medium-bodied with good acidity, deep, rich fruit, and some nice spice, this wine is elegant, fresh, and lively. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.
