Another decadent, beautifully layered effort from this domaine, the 2011 Suis l'étoile is made from 80% Grenache, 10% Carignan and 10% Syrah that was vilified and aged in older demi-muid. Loaded with ripe blackberry and black raspberry fruit, melted liquorice, toasted spice and back meatiness, it hits the palate with a massive, mouth-coating texture, a stacked mid-palate and no hard edges. This is a hedonistic dream to enjoy over the coming 4-6 years.
