Wafting from the glass with aromas of wild berries, violets, sweet spices, loamy soil and roses, the 2020 Pommard 1er Cru Epenots is medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a concentrated core of fruit that's framed by rich, powdery tannins and lively acids. Antoine Jobard appears to be as adept a red winemaker as he is with Chardonnay, for this is a terrific success.

The 2019 Pommard 1er Cru Epenots wafts from the glass with aromas of red berries, blood orange, rose petals and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, with a fleshy core of fruit, succulent acids and a long, perfumed, saline finish, it's a superb debut from Jobard.
