There are two barrels of the 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes this year. It has a clean and precise bouquet, tightly wound at the moment and just a hint of salted licorice in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with black cherry, raspberry coulis and pencil lead. There is good backbone that lends this Chambolle presence, although I would have preferred more Pinoté on the backward and sultry finish.

The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes, which is 100% whole bunch fruit due to the small size of the crop (2.5 barrels), has a fresh and vibrant bouquet with subtle sous-bois notes spliced with precise black cherry and red plum fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and nicely judged acidity. It needs to muster just a tad more nervsotié towards the finish, but the length and depth of this wine is impressive. I tasted a second cask - here there was that definition and perhaps just a little less volatility. Give it 4-5 years once in bottle.

There are just two barrels of the 2013 Chambolle Musigny les Feusselottes. It has a well-defined bouquet of blackberry and cranberry fruit, dried flowers in the background with nicely integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine line of acidity, harmonious with a supple finish that needs to manifest a little more mineralité. Stylish though.
