The estate’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Terre degli Osci is a fresh, fruity red perfect for drinking over the next year or two. Dark fruit, sweet herbs and spices linger on the finish. As always, Cabernet speaks with a unique voice here, but the Terre degli Osci delivers incredible quality for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2012. The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Terre degli Osci offers up an intriguing bouquet of mint, leather, sweet herbs and plums in a forward style. Surprisingly, this is quite a bit less fresh and vibrant then the Sangiovese and reveals more of a mid-weight personality with pretty floral notes on the close. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011. It’s hard to imagine a better wine for the money than Di Majo Norante’s 2007 Cabernet Terra degli Osci. This plump, juicy offering flows from the glass with tons of ripe, jammy red cherries, plums, flowers and sweet, spiced oak, showing beautiful length. It's awfully hard not to admire the 2006 Cabernet. Though not especially varietal in character, it does offer plenty of plump fruit, menthol and underbrush flavors along with a supple, juicy personality.
