The 2005 Touriga Nacional (Grand’ Arte) is the most successful of this group, rather sweet and a bit simple, but exuberant and friendly, with a modest mid-palate. There is nothing distinguished here, but the sweet fruit and light tannins make it an attractive package for an every day wine. Drink now-2010.DFJ Vinhos makes a large range of value wines. It is probably best known internationally in the United Kingdom in that some of its former principals were partners in a UK importing company focused on Portuguese wines. Not surprisingly, DFJ holds a substantial share of the UK Portuguese market (43%, I was told). The wines reviewed here mostly seemed foursquare to me, with a certain routine air, but they offer decent value.Importers: Lemae Group, LLC, Smyrna, GA; tel.
