The 2004 Trincadeira (Grand’ Arte) shows green, with some vegetal notes and nuances. There are light tannins around the edges, and the wine has a modest mid-palate. At best, it is simple and foursquare. Drink now-2010. DFJ Vinhos makes a large range of value wines. It is probably best known internationally in the United Kingdom in that some of its former principals were partners in a UK importing company focused on Portuguese wines. Not surprisingly, DFJ holds a substantial share of the UK Portuguese market (43%, I was told). The wines reviewed here mostly seemed foursquare to me, with a certain routine air, but they offer decent value.Importers: Lemae Group, LLC, Smyrna, GA; tel.
