Here’s an interesting blend: 71% Zinfandel, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest a split between Merlot and Cab Franc —all of it Walla Walla Valley fruit. It jumps out with a spicy hit of barrel, a little rough but quickly smothered in cherry-flavored fruit and chocolaty tannins. It’s got a little bit of wild herb as well, and it’s a crafty mix that never falls back into neutral.——P.G.(12/31/2007)—— 87
